Overview
Progress Education Corporation provides analytical tools, professional development, and educational interventions and solutions to teachers, school administrators, school districts, and other educational entities. These interventions and solutions improve student performance and achieve compliance with the standards and requirements established by the revised Elementary and Secondary Education Act (“ESEA”), referred to as the No Child Left Behind Act (“NCLB”).
Through internal development, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions, we are delivering a full spectrum of analytical tools to quantitatively define the specific needs of individual students, schools, and school districts and a set of educational solutions precisely tailored to those needs. These proprietary and licensed tools and solutions will be delivered by us through established distribution channels to the end users.
The solutions provided by us are in direct response to the failure of significant numbers of school districts nationwide to achieve basic levels of student performance or, in the case of high performing schools, to fully optimize performance. Performance must now be measured, reported, and accounted for by management. Schools that fail to meet minimum performance criteria face significant state and federal financial and accountability standards that schools will want to avoid. This motivation is a key driver behind many of our solutions.
The Company was established on August 15, 2003, by a team of four educators / businesspeople (See Management Team) who realized that grades K-12, public education in the United States is failing and will continue to fail without a clear understanding of why and the ability to deliver client specific solutions. The management team has a combined record of several decades of leadership in identifying, developing/acquiring, branding, and successfully selling education solutions that work. Through its network of educators and solution providers, we have access to, and the ability to develop, a spectrum of best of class systems, products, and services that can be selected and delivered to meet the specific needs of each school in the target markets.
Progress Education Corporation is a privately held corporation that is headquartered in Chicago, IL, with offices in California and Michigan.
