Progress Education Corporation Wins
Delaware State Department of Education
Consulting Contract
Oak Park, IL - Progress Education
Corporation was selected by the Delaware
Department of Education to serve as an objective
third party evaluator to determine the efficacy
of the DPAS II Pilot program in achieving both
of its core purposes: quality assurance and
professional growth.
Over the course of this
2 year project, Progress Education Corporation
will develop and administer surveys, conduct
interviews, and facilitate focus groups. The
data collected via these three channels during
the evaluation of the pilot will be used to test
the proposed criteria, process, and forms for
evaluating teachers, specialists, and
administrators prior to statewide implementation
of the Delaware Performance Appraisal System II
(DPAS II). Additionally, Progress Education
Corporation will be working closely with the
Delaware Department of Education to check the
manageability of the total system, investigate
the accuracy and reliability of the proposed
system; determine training needs and
modifications to DPAS II prior to statewide
implementation.
