Progress Data Locker / SAIL Data Manager
The Data Locker is an enterprise, data management tool that is at the core of the Progress Education Solution Series. Used alone, or in conjunction with the Assessor and/or the Teacher Toolkit, this tool allows school and district administrators to compare student performance on classroom and local assessments with performance on state tests. The data management feature also provides for the disaggregation of data by subgroup and the measurement of Adequate Yearly Progress ("AYP") - both significant requirements of NCLB.
The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators ("OAESA") is working with Progress to deliver implementation and support programs for SAIL - Standards Aligned Instructional Leadership, a standards-based professional development program to elementary school principals in Ohio. The SAIL Data Manager utilizes the functionality of the Data Locker and is being provided to all participants of the SAIL program to help reinforce the practices learned in the program using a technology tool. The tool integrates the Assessor with the Data Locker so that building administrators can aggregate and disaggregate student performance on state, local, and classroom assessments to determine how the instructional process can be improved, so that it results in improved student achievement.
